How to make a Mermaid Shaker Card

Writer's picture: createitwithjoycreateitwithjoy

Hi crafty friends, I hope your day is going awesome! I love a shaker card, I think they are so fun and are pretty easy to make. I'm using products from Simon Says Stamp to create this fun and interactive card. To see the full tutorial click here or watch below.

I started with a piece of white cardstock trimmed down slightly smaller than an A2 size card base and stenciled that with the Mermaid Scales Stencil and inks in Pink Champagne and Peaches 'n Cream.

I die cut a circle in the front panel as well as the front of the card base. I used clear window plastic behind the front panel along with foam tape to make the shaker part. I added the fun sequins and added another piece of plastic to enclose all of the shaker bits. I attached that to the front of the card and now you can see to the inside of the card.

I stamped some images from Be a Mermaid stamp set and colored them with Karin Brushmarker pro markers. I used the coordinating dies and cut them out. I then glued then to the inside of the card so you can see the images when the card is closed. I stamped the inside and front sentiments and gold embossed both of them.

I die cut the front sentiment and added some sequins to finish it off.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed this project.

Hugs,

Joy
