Hi crafty friends, I hope you are having a wonderful day! I am sharing two cards today one from the Happy Harvest Collection by Nichol Spohr and the Fall Traditions collection. I used Alcohol Inks for the background and leaves. I hope you enjoy them.
All opinions are my own, I use and share what I like. I have some affiliate links, they cost you nothing to use.
This is the Scare The Crow die set from the Happy Harvest Collection and it is super cute. I love the look of a gorgeous background with the main images being black. So that is what I did for this card. I created a Alcohol inked background with Poppyfield, Sunset Orange, Sunshine Yellow and Rust. I wanted it to feel like an Autumn sky. I die cut all of the images from Ebony cardstock and put them together like normal. I finished with a gold embossed sentiment.
I created an Alcohol Inked background again using the colors from above along with Mojito. I used the Autumn Leave Etched Dies from the Fall Traditions Collection and die cut them from the alcohol inked paper. I adhered them with foam tape onto a black background. I finished with a gold embossed sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by, have a wonderful day!!
Hugs,
Joy
Never would have thought to make the scarecrow in black; it is so effective against that lovely background. The second card is spectacular with those vivid colors against the dark background. Both layouts are very eye-catching and I bet there will be a lot of us using this idea! Thank you for the lovely inspiration and great narrative! The leaves look glossy; did you apply anything but the ink?
The black scarecrow, who would have imagined? Totally works. Your alcohol inked leaves are awesome!
