Hi everyone, this is Joy. Welcome back to my blog. I hope you have had fun hopping along, you just visited Jill Hilliard, and now you are here..Yayyy! I am so excited to be part of this blog for Spellbinders. I have absolutely loved their card and die kits for a long time, so to get to do this blog post about them is very cool! The cute bunny ear die from the Card Kit reminded me of the Peeps Marshmallow Bunnies. So that is my inspiration for this fun Easter card. I used elements from the Card Kit Of The Month and The Large Die Of The Month for this project.

I am one that loves a video tutorial, so I made one for this blog. I will explain how I put this card together but, if you want to watch the tutorial click here or watch below. If not, just keep on reading.
I die cut the bunny ears (from The Card Kit Of The Month) out of the purple, green and pink cardstock from the Card Kit, I cut each color three times and glued them together for dimension. I used the flower and leaf dies from the Card Kit and The Large Die of the Month and used the same colored cardstock as I did for the bunny ears.
I cut a strip of patterned paper from the Card Kit and cut a slightly larger strip of Gold Mirror Cardstock (from the Card Kit) and glued them with the patterned paper on top. I used foam tape behind the strip of paper for dimension and adhered that to a piece of white cardstock (from the Card Kit) that was trimmed slightly smaller than an A2 size card.
I tucked the bunny ears behind the popped up paper strip and glued those down. I then arranged the leaves and flowers and adhered those.
My sentiments are from the stamp set in the Card Kit. I stamped "Easter" directly onto the card panel and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. I then stamped and Gold Embossed the other two sentiments and trimmed those out. I used foam tape behind one and glued the other one directly to the bunny ears.
To finish the card, I scattered some of the jewel stickers from the Card Kit and added Stickles Sprinkled Sugar to the ears for that "sugary" look. I adhered the card panel to an A2 size card base from the kit.
I hope this card inspires you to create something wonderful! I hope you are enjoying this card hop. Don't forget to leave comments for a chance to win a gift certificate.
