Hi crafty friends, I hope your day is going great! For this project I am using the Small Die of the Month for July, It is a beautifully delicate die. You get the background die and floral dies. I decided to color the flower petals and leaves with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, for a watercolor look. To see the full video tutorial click here or watch below.
I started with a piece of 120lb cardstock and inked it with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink, starting from the top going almost to the bottom. I put that aside to dry. I die cut the background piece out of Diamond Glitter Cardstock. I die cut the flowers twice out of water color paper. I need another white floral frame to go on top of the colored flowers.
After the paper was dry, I hot foiled the "Grateful" sentiment with Aura foil directly onto the inked cardstock. I also hot foiled the other sentiment onto white 120lb cardstock and trimmed it out. I used the zigs to color the petals of the flowers and the leaves.
I glued the flowers down and added the second die cut frame on top. I trimmed off any excess from the sides.
I finished the card by adding to a white A2 card base and then added the small sentiment with foam tape for dimension. I added a few more small flowers around the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed this card! Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Joy
