I die cut the Christmas lights and ornaments from white and Gold Mirror cardstock and used Copic markers to color the images. I decided to use a non-traditional color palette, so I used pinks, teals and greens for those images. I used the Frosty Flakes stencil for the backgrounds, I stenciled on Celeste cardstock. The sentiments are hot foiled with aura foil using the Glitter Wishes hot foil plates.
Here are the tips for adding texture to the cards.
Tip #1 - Distress Texture Paste
I used Distress Texture Paste and the Frosty Flakes stencil to create a snowflake texture background. The Distress Texture Paste looks like snow when it's on the cardstock.
Tip #2 - Glossy Accents
This is a fabulous way to add texture to your background. I added this to the lights and ornaments, it is so glossy and shiny. It makes the images pop.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope these tips are helpful!
Hugs,
Joy
