Hi Crafty friends, I hope you have been having fun with the 31 Nights of Halloween Blog Celebration! I am so excited to be part of this Blog and to share an awesome Halloween card with you. I used the Build-a-Graveyard Die Set as the focal point for my project. I had so much fun with these and I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do. To see the full video tutorial click here or watch below. All the supplies I used are listed and linked below.
$300 IN PRIZES
Whimsy Stamps will be giving away $300 in prizes. There will be one grand prize of a $100 gift certificate (winner must create and link up a Whimsy Halloween project) and two $25 gift certificates each week (Those will be awarded to random customers who placed an order in the Whimsy store the previous week).
I started with a piece of patterned paper from the Haunted 6x6 Paper Pack and I trimmed that to 5 1/2"x 5 1/2". I then die cut all of the tombstones in Pale Grey cardstock from the Build-a-Graveyard Die Set. I also die cut the cat and spooky fences from Black Sparkle cardstock.
I stamped all the fun words and images onto the tombstones using the Grave Epitaphs in a Sea Salt and Earl Grey ink. I also used the Sea Salt ink and inked the edges of the tombstones, to give it an aged look. I adhered the tombstones onto the bottom of the patterned paper with a tape runner and foam tape, then I trimmed off the excess. I adhered the black cat to the top of the tombstone with foam tape.
I tucked the spooky fence pieces behind the tombstones at an angle to give the look of them being old and broken. Then I stamped the sentiments from Going Catty with Candy Corn Ink onto Pale Grey cardstock. I glued those over the moon and added some die cut bats from the Build-a-Graveyard Die Set with foam tape for dimension.
Thank you guys so much for stopping by and I will see you next Friday for another Whimsy project.
